Myth #2:  MY PICTURES WILL END UP ON THE INTERNET

"Boudoir" photography means something different to everyone.

For Nova Photography, it's all about capturing your unique beauty, in a sensual way. You could be wearing lingerie, an oversized sweater, a ball gown, shorts & a t-shirt, semi-nude - whatever makes you feel confident & sexy. You set the tone!

Client privacy is the topmost priority for any professional boudoir photographer with a good reputation. Should the photographer get some exceptionally gorgeous shots from your session, they may want to display it in their portfolio, in their studio, at trade shows, on Instagram, etc., in which case they will need your permission--which you don't have to give unless you want to!  Remember, a reputable photographer has a vested interest in guarding your privacy, since word-of-mouth is everything to them. I can assure you, with Nova Photography, your boudoir photos aren’t going anywhere that you don’t want them to! If you want to protect your privacy, you might not want to send digital images to anyone that you don’t trust absolutely—but you can rest assured that as your photographer I'm not going to put out images that you don’t want to share.

Myth #5:  BOUDOIR SHOOTS ARE VERY EXPENSIVE

Myth #3:  YOU NEED SOMEONE TO GIVE YOUR PHOTOS TO

Yes, generally speaking, boudoir photography sessions are priced higher than your average family session, but it's also something you're going to do way less often. This is an investment in yourself.  While you don't want to break the bank, now is not the time to bargain hunt. Finding a photographer you trust with an amazing portfolio is your priority here. The good news is that many photographers offer a variety packages, and a la carte products to fit your budget.  Most established photographer offer payment plans.

Don't let the false anticipation of sticker shock keep you down! To book with Nova Photography, there is a 50% non-refundable retainer, based on the package you select, and even that retainer can be split in to payments.  Chances are, you can afford a boudoir shoot—and it may be more affordable than you think.  With Nova Photography, you don’t have to break the bank to enjoy a stunning boudoir shoot!

Hell NO!  Boudoir photography is for EVERY BODY.  All shapes and sizes and walks of life.  The whole point of boudoir photography is getting a private glimpse into the real you.

Unfortunately, many women get stuck on what society has deemed to be their flaws: stretch marks, scars, and rolls. The truth is, those things are part of your beauty! The body you have right now is perfect for a boudoir shoot. Sure, I'll use my expertise to guide you on what to wear, work the angles, lighting & posing to help a sister out, but girl, you're beautiful just the way you are!  I’ll do some post-shoot editing if that makes you feel more comfortable, but remember, a boudoir shoot is about the body you have, not just the body you dream of.  Your body is beautiful and amazing.

Myth #1: MY BODY NEEDS TO BE PERFECT

This is a chance for you to appreciate your femininity--with or without a partner. If you want to explore and glamorously document yourself as a strong, powerful, beautiful, fierce woman, then boudoir photography is an empowering way to do just that!

Watching the reactions of my clients at their Image Reveal session, is probably my favorite part of this whole experience.  Many of my clients are astonished to see just how sexy they really are, they fall in love with themselves after their boudoir shoots. The feel sexy, empowered, and glamourous. Who needs a partner when you can have those great feelings all on your own?!  In fact, if you’re single, there’s no better time to have a boudoir shoot. Come in, get pampered, and appreciate yourself. You don’t need a partner in your life for that—and if you need to make it a gift, consider your boudoir shoot a gift you’re giving yourself. #treatyoself

Let's throw this one right out the window.  EVERYONE feels awkward, maybe a little shy, and definitely self-conscious, when we first start.  Even my clients who have walked the runway.  It's true!  Getting in front of a camera and seeing the beautiful results will leave you feeling empowered and strong--something every person needs, even the shy ones!  A good photographer completely takes over styling, posing, and direction, letting you relax and reveal your inner bombshell.

Myth #4:  BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHY ISN’T FOR SHY GIRLS
